My God is a merciful and forgiving God. But He can be a dreadful God when we disobey him. The bible says their is no sin that will go unpunished. God disciplines us when we are not walking in the law or rules He have provided in the bible which is our guide for our life. You may ask isn't God suppose to be a forgiving God? Yes He is a forgiving God and God discipline those he loves when you step out of place and to put you back on track. Just like you would discipline your child when he/she not listen to you. And since we are His children He will discipline us with whatever measures He sees fit. God loves us so much and when He bless us and give us our heart desire and instead of us worshipping God and giving him thank. We be ungrateful and walk after other gods we start worshipping the very same thing He has bless us with. Do you see why He would be so angry. For example if you fall in love with someone and planning to spend your life with them after you do all of that to get them on track and things are going well for them. Now that same person decided he do not wants you anymore the grass looks greener on the other side they leave you for another individual. Now because of the hurt and pain you are going through you want to make sure they feel the same pain they have inflicted you with. Remember God always use the natural world to explains how the spiritual world operates. Be mindful that God has a heart and He has feelings so when you disobey His law you're breaking His Heart.
Religion Vs. Relationship If you believe in God or call yourself a Christian, then you'd probably consider yourself either a religious person or a person of faith. Religion is a list of dos and don’ts. Follow a certain set of beliefs just because you’re supposed to. Earn your way to God. Make sure you try not to sin—and if you do, make sure to ask forgiveness so that you might make it to heaven when you die. But relationship is where faith comes in. That’s when you begin to know who God is and what He’s all about. You know that He loves you and cares about you so much that He sent Jesus to die for you. There is freedom in that. It’s not about following a set of rules or trying to do the right thing. It’s about living in the faith that God loves you and has a purpose and plan for your life!
